This is a question from a new Clickbank vendor. http://www.powerful-wealth-building-information.com/
Question: Hi There I am selling my ebook using clickbank. How can I promote or attract affiliates to sell my product? Can you help me regarding this?
This is a great question and I’ll try to give a short answer with a couple of tactics.
Did you enjoy this article?
A) This may seem obvious, but have a great sales letter and a unique product that CONVERTS. Make sure there is a huge, hungry demand for your product. This will get the attention of affiliates who use sites like CBengine to find new products to promote. You’ll pick up affiliates almost immediately if you present a killer product with large demand.
B) The method most people use and that still works is finding websites in your niche, writing e-mails to owners and asking if they’d review your product and promote it on their site or through their newsletter. Couple things to keep in mind. Always GIVE them a free copy and always personalize each email. Make a specific comment on what you like about their site and what they do. Nothing turns a would-be affiliate off more than receiving a stale form letter asking to JV on a product. I gets dozens like this every week and I ignore them. When somebody takes the time to write a personalized note, I usually get back. Example of what gets my attention: “Hey, Matt, I dig CBengine, especially your CB Insider section. If you have time, would you check out my product and consider reviewing it? I know you’re busy, but I’d appreciate it.”
C) Advertising. Get your sites listed in affiliate opportunity directories like http://www.affiliatescout.com/. There are bus loads of these. Use Google to find them. Also consider buying ads on Google, MSN and Yahoo for keyphrases like affiliate marketing programs.
D) Forums. Recruit affiliates on marketing forums.
E) Write articles for EzineArticles.com and in your signature file link to your affiliate program sign up page.
When launching a new product you have to push it to a line I call the tipping point. Once you’ve crossed this invisible line a site will start to take on a life of its own, but it’s a hard uphill push to get it there. It takes a lot of effort and patience. Sometimes you can get a super affiliate with a megalist to give you a marketing push which can speed this process up, but landing those whales is a hard task to accomplish. If you do land a big fish, often the other big fish will feel like they’re missing out on something great, and they’ll pick up your product too.
Work tirelessly to build momentum for your product. The more momentum you build, the more affiliates take notice. I’ll post other tactics to attract Clickbank affiliates in future posts. Thanks for the great question.
